This original kitchen had a drop ceiling and a peninsula that made it feel small. The sink being off-center of the kitchen window always annoyed them. When you love to cook, you need a well-functioning kitchen.
We removed the drop ceiling, and moved the dishwasher to allow the sink to be centered. Adding lazy susans on both sides of the sink counter area eliminated dead corners. By removing the peninsula and the unused desk area, we added length to the counters and pantry cabinet. Additional cabinets and a quartz countertop were also added to the area between the dining and living rooms.
It was really a wonderful experience. I am very, very pleased with the results.
